Introduction to Simulink Design Optimization

MathWorks India invites you to a complimentary webinar:

Introduction to Simulink Design Optimization

26 Aug 2010

3:00 PM IST

This webinar introduces Simulink Design Optimization. We will demonstrate how to improve designs by estimating and tuning Simulink model parameters using numerical optimization. Simulink Design Optimization offers a comprehensive interface for setting-up and running your optimization problems in Simulink. Using Simulink Design Optimization enables you to reduce the time to calibrate a model and tune a compensator, and helps you ensure a better system design.

Through product demonstrations, MathWorks engineers will show how you can:

Increase model accuracy by estimating physical parameters from test data

Validate your model calibration

Optimize controller parameters to meet design requirements

A Q&A session will follow the presentation and demos.

Presenter: Arkadiy Turevskiy - Product Marketing Manager, MathWorks

Q&A Session: Chirag Patel - Application Engineer, MathWorks India

Register for this webinar.

We look forward to seeing you online on Thursday, the 26th of August, 2010.

Sincerely,

Seminar Highlights

Early Verification of Aerospace Systems using Model-Based Design

Through case studies, we will show how leading aerospace companies around the world have moved from a paper and prototyped based development process to Model-Based Design. With Model-Based Design, these companies are able to identify requirements and design errors early in the development process saving time and money.

Accelerating Flight Vehicle Design using MATLAB and Simulink

Using modeling and simulation techniques, MathWorks engineers will walk you through a unified design approach that enables the determination of aerodynamic characteristics, the design of flight control laws, and the early verification of these laws in a design process.

Flight Actuation System Design and Optimization using Physical Modeling

MathWorks engineers will show how physical modeling tools can be used to model and test different flight actuation systems in a single, multi/domain environment to save time and encourage innovation. With the aid of a flight actuation system example, they will demonstrate how to quickly perform trade off studies and control design optimization.

Workflow for Developing Safety Critical Aerospace Applications

This section will focus on how to use Model-Based Design for safety critical aerospace application development. MathWorks engineers will showcase a workflow to produce flight software that adheres to the defined safety standard DO-178B. Concepts like requirement tracing as well as model and code verification will be demonstrated to achieve the same.
